I stumbled across this beautiful book via Brené Brown’s website, and, to be honest, wasn’t sure about downloading it at first (I use Audible a lot!), but I am so, so glad I did!

It is the story about Cassie Hanwell, a talented female firefighter, who is based in a Texas firehouse. When her estranged mother asks her to move to Boston to stay with her due to her losing her vision in one eye, Cassie’s instant reaction is to turn her down. Why would she leave her life behind, when it was her mother who walked out on her on her 16th birthday?!…

Follow Cassie’s story, and learn about courage, the power of vulnerability, how to overcome trauma, and the magic of forgiveness.

An exceptional, wonderful story; truly heart-warming, emotional, and, in my opinion, downright educational.

In the words of Jodi Picoult, (New York Times best-selling author): “Just read it, and thank me later.”
